A model has claimed she was kicked off Tinder because she’s so attractive that men she matched with thought she was fake.
Holly Valentine, 26, lives in LA but often travels around the world with work so decided to join the dating app as a way to meet people while exploring new cities.
She signed up for the paid for version of the site, which allows you to see people in anywhere in the world, and uploaded a number of cute snaps.
While she often shares saucy photos on her Instagram page, she insists all the photos on her dating profile were “clean” because she’s shy when it comes to dating.
But Holly claims that within just a few hours of signing up with was inundated with messages from matches insisting her account was fake.
She was soon locked out of the app, and when she tried to redownload it and sign in it wouldn’t work.
She said: “I travel a lot so I wanted to date and meet new people when I was traveling and in town, so I bought the most expensive package that they offer that lets you set your location to anywhere.
“It’s like $86 which for an app is expensive! I used clean pictures, did everything I was supposed to, swiped right on a couple people, I got some matches and then started binge watching Game of Thrones.
“Then after a couple hours I went back on saw a couple previews of messages and then got locked out of the app.
“The previews that I did see were “you’re probably not real”, “why would a girl like you be on tinder”, “why won’t you answer!?!?” “I didn’t even get to meet anyone or even really use the app.”
She contacted Tinder to find out what was going on and says she was given a full refund but no explanation.
Holly wanted to try out the popular app as she’s shy when it comes to dating.
She says she often gets marriage proposals on her Instagram account, along with strange requests from men who tell her to reach out to their wives and bosses at work if they fail to obey her
She said: “I have a lot of respect for people with fetishes so it takes a lot to weird me out, but the one I am always shocked by is when guys want me to ‘ruin them’ and reach out to their wives or girlfriends or even jobs if they don’t obey me.
“I’ve done it once and I could never do it again. Most of the time the requests are pretty normal though.”
Despite her provocative appearance, Holly insisted she has always been a genuine “girl next door” and has a nerdy side she is not afraid to show.
She said: “I’m all natural, very fit, blonde, girl next door looking. I do have a nerdy side and I’m not afraid to show it but depending on the wardrobe or makeup I can go from looking like an all natural college girl or a bombshell.
“I’m extremely real and people know that the first second. When people meet me in real life the first thing they say is ‘you’re exactly the same in real life’.
“A lot of people are going for the ‘girl next door’ vibe but that’s just who I am.”
Holly keeps herself busy preparing and uploading content on her sites throughout the week, waking up as early as 6am every morning for photoshoots, YouTube collaborations and planning brand strategies with her team.
She said: “Half the week I’m shooting waking up at 6am, doing hair and makeup, shooting stuff for Instagram and my subscription platforms and then I’m usually answering emails and then taking photos for my company’s Instagram.
“Sometimes I’ll do YouTube as well or collaborate with other models or influencers.
“The rest of the week I am at my office working with the branding team.
“Sometimes my Instagram actually comes into the mix there as well if we are trying to promote something or reach out to contacts I’ve made from doing Instagram as an influencer.”
She’s also a member of the private social media app OnlyFans, where she posts private content to fans on a subscription basis – and is now one of the site’s top earners.
Holly insisted she uses the money earned from OnlyFans to help her business take off, reinvesting the funds back into her company branding.
She said: “I had never done anything like that and I was really curious but I was working in an office every day and just didn’t think I could do it. Then I met a girl who did it and I just kind of went for it.
“I am one of the top earners on OnlyFans but because I reinvest a lot of the money I get from brand work back into my image OnlyFans gives me the ability to still save and have the lifestyle that I want and grow my business at the same time.”
Even though she’s now given up on Tinder, she has a few tips to anyone who wants to date her.
“Don’t try too hard. Everyone is most desirable when they are true to themselves. I also love it when a guy smells nice.”
